
Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Visual8’s products and services to organizations that would benefit from the solutions we offer.
The role involves:
- Creating awareness, building relationships with key executives, and developing/pursuing leads;
- Finding direct sales opportunities within our current and potential client base ;
- Manage Partner, Price and Proposal to develop and close deals;
- Work with Executive and Consulting/Technical teams to develop close strategies;
- Participate in Industry Events (Trade Shows, Professional Organizations);
- Development of sales materials (presentations, demos, flyers etc..);
- Working with an Internet Marketing/Web Development team to enhance company websites;
- Utilize our Sales Forecasting System
The Business Development Manager is tasked with infiltrating and influencing decision-makers at the highest levels within existing and potential clients. The successful candidate will leverage these relationships to introduce our software products and services, and create and pursue selling opportunities.
In addition to the above demand generation activities, the Business Development Manager is responsible for demand management, i.e., working with Partners and delivery groups to determine the solution details and approach. This will require teamwork, fostering of relationships, and developing consensus.
Skills/Attributes Highly Desirable
The ideal candidate will have a significant level of sales experience in our industry, selling enterprise business application software and professional consulting services, characterized by long sales cycles and large dollar transactions. The typical candidate should have a proven background in managing complex clients and have a reputation for being proactive and responsive, as well as providing effective solutions for their business. Tenacity, initiative, and a high level of motivation are qualities that will contribute to success within this role.
Qualifications
- Experience with our target industries and similar/related products and services
- Familiarity with Industrial Engineering/Operations Research concepts and techniques
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Business Application software implementations
- Strong knowledge of the sales process, marketing, and public relations
- Experience with Large Quota Sales and have completed large dollar transactions
- Solution Selling experience to include excellent communication, listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Significant business relationships with senior client executives and department heads
- Ability to work effectively with internal resources
- Strong interpersonal skills including rapport building, listening, social versatility, courtesy and concern
